11plus Scramble for Grammar School places in London

The Daily Telegraph recently reporting that as many as one-in-six children will be rejected from their first choice secondary when places are allocated across England in the first few days of March.

It is estimated that nearly 5% of all children for various reasons are forced to accept unwanted comprehensive school places caused by the sheer pressure on the ‘better’ schools, chiefly Grammar schools. The competition for this has been further increased by the double dip recession causing many middle class parents to turn to cheap alternative Grammar school compared to £15000 per year independent schools.

At The Learning Hub we have experienced that children now have to be taught carefully and our finding our unique set of materials and periodic assessment of the child now paying huge dividends as children year in year out get offered places in some of the most prestigious Grammar and independent schools in the country with many children getting scholarships.
