As Grammar and Independent Schools places have become very limited due to the large demand these exams generate the 11plus Mock Exams are now a crucial part of the 11plus preparation and designed to broaden the experience for the child as it is targeted towards them having a more structured and logically approach.

Remember that in some areas there are 12 students competing for every place and as demand for grammar school places soars this situation will only get worse.

Re: 11+ Junior Open Evening Tuesday 26th March 2013 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm

We are pleased to inform parents that we will be holding an open evening for 11+ Junior students on Tuesday the 26th March 2013 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

The open evening is open to all children in Year 4, looking to apply for Grammar school and Independent schools. During the open evening we shall be sharing our experience in what is required to be successful, the attitude, discipline and approach required.

We shall also be have several guest speaker comprising of children and parents who have had the benefit and experience of doing these exams who are willing to share their experience with all attendees.

 The August 2012 mock tests went down well with the children enjoying and appreciating the whole experience. Confidence is now rocketing sky high with the children seeing the fruits of their hard work and the benefits in their improvements.

Our congratulation goes to all the students who took part for their enthusiasm and dedication. It was great to see them all mentally focussed and working hard during the exams.

Overall, we found all the children had improved since the July Mock Test by many Reasoning Quotient points but a special mention goes to the following students whose improvement was on average greater than 22 Reasoning Quotient Points:

The target for the children should be to gain 390 out of the possible 420 points in order to be certain in securing a place in a grammar school. The good news is that the marks are moving clearly upwards and many children have found the Summer Workshops beneficial. In the follow-up review, the children did realise their marks should have been higher were it not for all the silly mistakes and unanimously requested another Mock Exam in September. Probably due to the fact the experience is found to be highly beneficial in boosting their confidence and in reducing their exam nerves.

In response to this, we have therefore created a Special 11+ Mock Exams for Monday 3^rd September 2012 in time to ensure they get some good solid experience prior to the actual 11+ Exams in September. The Mock Exams will be held at The Learning Hub at 5:00pm and parents are encouraged to register their child as soon as possible.

The Learning Hub is Based in Wembley, Middlesex and provides comprehensive tuition for children age 6 to 18 in both group and 1 to 1 format. We tutor children in KS1, KS2, SATs, KS3, GCSE and A Levels.

The July 2012 mock exams went well with the children participating being more relaxed and confident in their approach. As mentioned previously, the June paper was tricky, to balance the level of learning experience, the July paper was made tougher by questions being more challenging and aimed at Henrietta Barnet Girls and Queen Elizabeth’s Boys School. It is here that we should be proud of our children for they very coped well, showing that hard work does bring its rewards.

Focus and concentration was high throughout the 3 hours and it was noticed that the children were more positive to the 11+ exams and achieving success.

I personally belief that all the children who will be attending our 4 weeks of 11+ Summer Workshops will benefit tremendously by given access to some of the best 11+ material. The classes will comprise of 3 hours of solid work every day and then about 3 hours of homework. That’s an incredible 6 hours of 11+ work every day!

The next set of dates for the 11plus Mock Exams: 17th June, 9th July and 11th August with the review of the papers being a week after.
